The Moringa Tree Project

MORINGA – “The Miracle Tree”
We need your help. As we strive daily to find better ways to feed the hungry, the nutritional benefits of the moringa tree offer great hope. Your financial contribution to Medical Benevolence Foundation can help us to provide these "miracle trees" around the world.

The moringa tree is native to northwestern India. Moringa is a hearty plant that grows quickly. It is also widely grown in other parts of the tropics, including tropical Asia, many regions of Africa, Indonesia, Haiti and South and Central America moringa may also have potential as an annual vegetable in the North (trees started in a greenhouse grew to 8 feet in Wisconsin).

Moringa leaves are full of essential disease-preventing nutrients:

-Vitamin A, which acts as a shield against eye disease, skin disease, heart ailments, diarrhea, and many other diseases.
-Vitamin C, fighting a host of illnesses including colds and flu.
-Calcium, which builds strong bones and teeth, and helps prevent osteoporosis.
-Potassium, essential for the functioning of the brain and nerves.
-Proteins, the basic building blocks of all our body cells.

This group of children who participated in the VBS program at Gheens Presbyterian Church planted Moringa seeds and learned about the medical and hunger needs of people overseas.

We praise this group of children for raising funds to be used where most needed at MBF supported hospitals and clinics.

THANKS to all of you who featured the Moringa projects at your VBS schools this year. You have all been such a blessing to people in need.

Please remember that the Moringa Tree Project is only one example of the many important projects designed to help feed the starving people of the world. If you would like to support efforts such as these, you can designate your gifts toward "Nutritional Rehabilitation".
